Weekly log

It's been ages since my first post and I again attribute that to my extreme laziness :). I think it's time I rectify that and so thought of doing a weekly log wherein I would mention the things that happened over the course of the week. It's winter and a harsh and early one in Charlotte. It's a pity that it is so cold that we can't go outside and do any physical activity.

When I was in India it used to be so hot most days that we used to wish for snow and winter etc. I guess it was just a case of grass looking greener on the other side of the river. Having experienced winter for 3 years now, I must say I would prefer summer any day over winter. Maybe one or two days of winter a year at max :). Wishful thinking I know, unless I am so rich that I can go wherever I please whenever I please. Alas, not there quite yet :).

So for this week, lets see, what all did I do. Well, nothing much!!! It was a particularly lazy week as most folks at office were on leave for the Christmas holidays. Although I must say I did see Christmas town here in Charlotte last Saturday. It was a nice experience at least the first 15minutes when we actually got to see the Christmas lights. After that it was a traffic nightmare :(. It took me about 1.5hrs to cover 0.5miles because of the traffic and that kind of ruined the experience for me. But I guess, we should have chosen some other day, probably a week day to have visited the place. I also went to the Infosys BCM party on Saturday which is again a yearly thing which my employer Infosys has in Charlotte. I took my brother also with me for the party. My only motivation for going was free food and drinks :) and I must say the food didn't disappoint me. There was the usual party events and skits and it was a satisfying evening out. I also got to see few old friends and exchange pleasantries which is rare nowadays. Other than that it was another week spent watching movies and watching more movies :). Netflix rocks!!!

I decided to either go to gym or play tennis on most days from this week and so far it has been a mild success. I went 2 days out of 4!! Hopefully I can make it more consistent. What else, its Christmas week and so I wish the world a happy and merry Christmas!! Until next time, ciao.

My first post!

Yes, I have arrived! My first post on my first blog. The first lierature that I will be writing about me that gets posted on the net. Hmm... I have been thinking about doing this for a long time, but I guess my laziness kept me from doing it sooner. But anyways better later than never rite! I guess I will keep this pretty short for my first post. I just created the blog and so not yet ready to share my thoughts or not yet sure what thoughts to be sharing now :).

I guess a small background on who I am would be a nice place to start. I am from India, currently working in the US of A as a software engineer for an Indian outsourcing company. I come from a state called Kerala in southern India. I have 2 brothers, one elder (Ashok) and my twin brother (Anup). My father's name is Francis and my mother's name is Elizabeth.

Well I guess that's it for now. I hope I get something interesting enough to blog here in future!
